Tree Sale: <br /> <br />The 22nd annual City Tree Sale was held on the Ramsey School campus from 7:00 a.m. <br />to 2:30 p.m., in conjunction with the Environmental Fair. The six vendors who provided <br />plant materials for sale included Northwind Nursery, Henke Nursey, Maple Leaf Nursery, <br />Savanna Garden, and Green Valley Greenhouse. Each of these vendors, along with Wirz <br />Nursery, Morton Nursery and Anoka Ramsey Farm and Garden, also donated trees to <br />plant at City Hall and the school campus. <br /> <br />Funding to plan, advertise and carry out the tree sale was provided in the City budget <br />($1,000) and in a $1,000 mini-grant from the Department of Natural Resources. Anoka <br />Electric Cooperative installed and removed a banner and support posts, free of charge. <br />Asplundh Tree Company donated and delivered wood chips. <br /> <br />Bike Road-eo <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />More than 400 children and their parents attended the Seventh Annual Becky Weiss <br />Memorial Bike Road-co. Children learned about bicycle safety, had their bikes inspected <br />and tuned up, navigated an obstacle course, listened to safety lectures, and watched an <br />Anoka Police canine demonstration.
