Environmental and natural resource information is
valued by residents young and old.

The annual Ramsey Environmental Expo and Tree Sale is a growing successful partnership
between the City, Ramsey Elementary School, businesses, civic organizations, and volunteers.
The participation in the Expo reveals people are interested; it is a community festival.

Expanding environmental education, technical management recommendations, and access to
existing programs for residents in R. amsey and adjoining communities through partnership and
volunteer opportunities is both popular and effective. Earth Day and Arbor events, cable
television and tours representing problems and remedies for managing development impact on
natural resources and environmental quality are basic for sustaining personal health, community
health and ecosystem health.

A partnership between the City of Ramsey and Sherburne County is natural due to Ramsey
residents attending the Elk River School District. The R. amsey/Elk River area share the same
problems and have the same opportunities for natural resource and environmental solutions that
require community response.

Sincerely,

CITY OF RAJViSEY

/.- ~ -
R. yah//l~.
