Council also directed Staff to prepare a case for <br />the Finance Committee to consider the establishment of antenna lease rates on City <br />owned property. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />Staff has researched antenna lease rates for other communities in the metropolitan area. <br />These lease rates range from $5,000 to $20,000 per year with an average of about <br />$12,000 per year. These rates appear to vary based solely on market conditions. <br />Included are two documents listing lease rates that area cities have established. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends that a lease rate for antennas on City owned property be <br />established in the amount of $12,000 per year.
