REQUEST FOR PROPOSAi, S TO PROVIDE <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT <br />OF BUSINESS PARK 95 - SIXTH ADDITION <br /> By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey hereby solicits a proposal from your firm for professional services which <br />shall include the preparation ora final plat document and engineering plans and specifications for <br />a commercial/industrial park to be known as Business Park 95 - Sixth Addition. Attached is a <br />sketch plan of the subdivision illustrating its £eneral location within the City. Included within <br />the scope of the construction improvement shall be a 38 foot wide, nine-ton design street with <br />concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and watermain utilities. It should be <br />anticipated that the watermain work witl include jacking an eight-inch watermain beneath <br />County Road #116 and Iooping it with an existing 16-inch watermain which is located <br />approximately ten feet beyond the edge of the pavement. Natural gas and electric utilities shall <br />not be a part of the improvements and the City shall arrange for their installation separate from <br />the scope of this work. The City has ownership over alt lands necessar,) for construction and no <br />easements shall be required. The City has prepared a preliminary drainage plan for the <br />development. <br /> <br />The consultant will be asked to survey, prepare the legal plat, design the improvement, prepare <br />plans and specifications, provide project management and perform construction staking and <br />inspections throughout the construction. <br /> <br />Basic Engineering Services <br /> <br />The consultant shall provide the following basic engineering services: <br /> <br /> Review the preliminary plat and preliminary development plan <br />· Prepare a final plat suitable for recording with Anoka County <br />· Prepare engineering plans and specifications for the work <br />· Attend two meeting with City of Ramsey staff <br />· Prepare necessary submittal information and obtain permits from Minnesota Pollution <br /> ControI Agency, the Department of Health, Metropolitan Council Wastewater Division, the <br /> Lower Rum River Water Management Organization, and Anoka County Highway <br /> Department <br />· Prepare final cost estimate <br /> Sol/.cit and obtain bids <br /> Provide project observation by a registered professional engineer <br />,, Review shop drawing and change orders, prepare and certify payment requests <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
