Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #97-08-~__~_~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT OF LINDA WAITE SMITH AS <br />ACTING CITY ADMINISTRATOR. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Administrator is resigning his position, effective September 26, <br />1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it will take a number of weeks to recruit and hire a new City Administrator; <br />and <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary to designate an Acting City Administrator until such time as <br />a new City Administrator is hired; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith be appointed Acting City <br /> Administrator, effective September 27, 1997. <br /> <br />2) That while she serves as Acting City Administrator, Ms. Waite Smith's salary be <br />compensated at an annualized rate of $56,380, which is an additional $370 per pay period. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Q~ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following v~r~ag}inst the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were~ <br />whereupon said resoI~uti~n 3was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 14th day of January, 1997. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
