Voting yes: <br />Voting no: None. Absent: <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawdcn; Commissioners Deemer, Terry, J~sen, La.Due. <br />Commissioners Holland and Thorud. <br /> <br />Case #2 <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Approval; Case of Sharp and Associates <br /> <br />Zoning Admirfis~ator Fro~ stated that an application has been received from Sharp and Associates <br />to construct a 14,300 square foot office and manufacturing facility on Lot 1, Block 1, Business Park <br />95 4th Addition. It is anticipated that the facility will be leased to Spectrum Fixtures with an option <br />to buy. One access is proposed from McKinley Street. When Radium Street is constructed north <br />from McKinley, it will be the west boundary c/this site, and a second access would be possible. The <br />site plan is in compliance with City Code as it relates to zoning, lot coverage, setbacks, design and <br />number ofoff-m-eet parking areas and driveways, loading berths, and ar,:hitectural standards. As part <br />of Business Park 95, the site plan is subject to Business Park 95 covenants and review by the <br />Architectural Board which will meet August 6, 1997. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated that the lighting must comply with City Code requirements. <br /> <br />Mr. Dennis Sharp, Sharp and Associates stated that the box type lighting units will be used for this <br />site. In response to two questions in staff's letter dated August l, 1997, he stated that the company <br />has 13 employees and is planning 25 parking spaces; and trash dumpsters are kept inside. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer, seconded by Commissioner Terry to recommend that the City <br />Counc9 approve the proposed site plan for Sharp and Associates contingent upon compliance with <br />City Staff'Review Letter dated August 1, 1997, and the Business Park 95 covenants as reviewed by <br />the Architectural Review Board. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Chairperson Bawden; Commis~oners Deemer, Terry, Jensen, LaDue. <br />Voting no: None. Absent: Commissioners Holland and Thom& <br /> <br />Case #3 <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Approval; Case of Minnesota Tool & Die <br />Works, Inc. <br /> <br />Zoning Adrnin/strator stated that a site plan application has been received for a 20,000 square foot <br />office and manufacturing facility on Lot 4, Block 2, Business Park 95 4th Addition. Two accesses <br />are proposed from McKinley Street NW, one of which win be a shared driveway with Point <br />Investment to the west. The site plan is in compliance with City Code as it relates to zoning, Iot <br />coverage, setbacks, design and number of off-street parking areas and driveways, loading berths and <br />architectural standards. At this time there has been no submittal ora Landscape Plan, Grading and <br />Drainage Plan, Waste Storage Plan or Lighting Plan.
