Case #8: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinances to Amend City Code Chapter 9 (Zoning and Subdivision <br />of Land), Section 9.11 (Performance Standards), 9.12 (Signs), 9.14 (Solid <br />Waste), 9.24 (Tree Preservation), and 9.50 (Subdivision) <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that on July 22, 2003, the City Council <br />introduced proposed amendments to the following sections of Chapter 9 (Zoning and <br />Subdivision) of City Code: 9.11 Performance Standards, 9.12 Signs, and 9.14 Solid Waste. On <br />July 22, the City Council also introduced an ordinance to add a section to City Code: 9.24 Tree <br />Preservation. On April 8, 2003, the City Council introduced an ordinance to amend Section 9.50 <br />Subdivision, of the City Code. Section 9.50 establishes the requirements and standards for <br />subdivision of land. City staff recommended adoption of the ordinances with the exception of <br />Ordinance 9.50. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adopt Ordinance <br />#03-30 to amend Section 9.11 (Performance Standards); Ordinance #03-31 to amend 9.12 <br />(Signs); Ordinance #03-32 to amend 9.14 (Solid Waste) of Chapter 9 of the Ramsey City Code; <br />and Ordinance #03-33 to add Section 9.24 of the City Code, entitled Tree Preservation. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig aye <br />Councilmember Strommen aye <br />Councilmember Kurak aye <br />Councilmember Cook aye <br />Councilmember Zimmerman absent <br />Councilmember Pearson aye <br />Mayor Gamec aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Case #9: Request for Final Plat Review of a Minor Subdivision; Sunfish Lake <br /> Business Park 2"d Addition; Case of City of Ramsey <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that the City of Ramsey is in the process of re- <br />platting a portion of Sunfish Lake Business Park to provide for two additional lots within the <br />business park. Sunfish Business Park is generally located east of County Road #116 and south of <br />Sunwood Drive. The plat of Sunfish Lake Business Park currently consists of six lots that range <br />in size from 2 acres to 14 acres. City staff receives weekly inquires from businesses that are <br />looking for parcels that are 1 to 2 acres in size. In order to provide for the market demand of 1- to <br />2-acre parcels, staff is proposing to re-plat a portion of Sunfish Lake Business Park. Sunfish <br />Lake Business Park 2nd Addition is a re-plat of Lots 1 and 4 of Sunfish Lake Business Park. The <br />minor plat is creating two additional buildable lots and reconfiguring lots lines of two existing <br />lots. The new lot sizes are 2.93, 2.13, 1.41, and 10.82 acres. All lots meet or exceed the 200-foot <br />street frontage and 1-acre minimum lot size requirements established in the new E-1 <br />Employment District, which becomes effective August 25, 2003.
