As you know, you have entered into a Purchase Agreement to purchase from the City of Ramsey (the "City") the above referenced property. The Purchase Agreement is dated January, 1997. In June, 1997 the city received a petition signed by a n~mber of City voters petitioning to amend the City's Charter. The procedure now is to require a City wide election on whether or note to amend the Charter as proposed in the petition. The City Council has scheduled the election for September 22, 1997. Attached for your information is a copy of the Charter question. By this letter the City wants to formally advise you of this pending Charter Amendment as it may affect your development plans for the subject property. The City expects that you and your legal counsel will want to carefully review this proposed Charter amendment and arrive at an independent judgment as to whether or not, if it passes, it will impact your proposed Alpine Estates subdivision.
