Schroeder, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Since 1992, the City of Ramsey has held three year general legal and prosecution contracts with <br />the firm of Randall, Dehn and Goodrich. Prior to that time, the understanding was an annual <br />renewal of a fee schedule, which was updated each January, or at least periodically. <br /> <br />The general legal portion of the contract includes hourly rates plus fixed fee amounts for such as <br />City Council meetings. The prosecution portion has hourly rates with annual "not to exceed" <br />numbers. <br /> <br />Recently, Council directed that staff negotiate a contract with the law firm for the next three year <br />period. The contract proposed by Bill Goodrich is proposed for your consideration.
