Sandy loam soil shall be placed on the filter material to a <br /> depth of 1 foot in the center of the mound and to a depth of' 6 <br /> inches at the sides. <br /> <br /> 21. A m~m'um of two 10-foot wide beds may be installed side by <br /> side in a single mound if the soil percolation rate is between 5 <br /> and 60 minutes per inch to a depth of at least 24 inches below <br /> the sandy layer, The beds shall be separated by 4 feet of clean <br /> sand. <br /> <br /> 22. When two beds are instal]ed side by side, the sandy ]o~m fill <br /> at the center of the mound shall be 18 inches deep and 6 <br /> inches deep at the sides. <br /> <br /> 23. Six inches shaI] be placed on the fi/1 material over the entire <br /> area of the mound. <br /> <br /> 24. A grass cover shall be established over the entire area of the <br /> mound. <br /> <br /> 28. No shrubs shall be planted on the top of the mound. A vertical inspection pipe at least 1-173 inches in diameter <br /> must be installed in each drainfield rock layer of every <br /> mound, The inspection pipe must have 3/8 inch or larger <br /> perforations spaced vertically no mol e than 6 inches apart. <br /> At least two perforations must be located in the rock layer. <br /> The inspection pipe must extend to the bottom of the rock <br /> layer ~nd must be capped flush with or.above finished grade. <br /> <br /> 30. A p~rnp must be used as specified in this 0hapter (Re£er to <br /> Dosing Devices for Pressure Distributions). <br /> <br /> 1990 Urban service area glternatives~ <br /> <br /> General. S~n~tary sewer service is expected to be available to <br /> portions of the 2000 Urban Service Area by 1990. The £000 Urban <br /> Service Area property owner shall remain responsible for <br />.individual ~,aste disposal until such time that the sewer <br /> connection is afi~ected. Urban area lot dimensions tend to be more <br /> restrictive for certain methods of waste disposal, tt is the purpose <br /> of this section to proxdde the urban service area with alternatives <br /> to the long-term approach of individual waste treatment hereto <br /> before outlined in this chapter.
