0CT-20-1997 i0:45 CITY OF RAMSEY S12 42? 5543 P,0S×03 <br />Councilmember Haas Steffcn introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #97-08-I 95 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING FUNDING SOURCES FOR 1997 STORM DAMAGE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 1, 1997, the Community experienced a storm resulting in <br /> significant tree and forest damage throughout the community, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the public interest to dedicate <br /> public funds toward assisting in the cleanup activities associated with this storm; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council had not previously provided for funding of such projects <br /> within the 1997 budget. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Council allocate $35,000 fi.om the Insurance Reserve Fund and an additional <br /> $5,000 from the EDA Account for storm damage removal activities <br /> <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof. <br /> <br /> Mayor Ga.rnec <br /> Councitmember Haas Steffen <br /> Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Beahen <br /> Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> None <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 12th day of August, 1997. <br /> <br />ATTEST: Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />TOTAL P.O~ <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
