COUNCIL BUSINESS/PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing and Levy of Assessments for Past-Due Charges on Municipal <br />Utility Bills and Current Services Rendered <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:20 in order to conduct <br />the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated this is the third year that the City will be certifying delinquent <br />payments for utilities as assessments to be collected with property taxes payable in 1998. She <br />noted the total of delinquent payments at this time to be $19,321.11. Payments received through <br />November 10 will be considered prepaid and will be removed from the delinquent list. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Haas Steffen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gam ec called the regular portion of the City Council meeting back to order at 7:21 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Resolution #97-09-265 adopting assessments for past-due charges on municipal utility bills, <br />xvhich may include water, sewer, street lighting, recycling charges and penalties incurred and <br />current services rendered. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer, Beahen and <br />Haas Steffen.
