Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Haas Steffen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />4) Award Contract for Residential Curbside Recycling Program <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart reported that the City received one proposal for curbside recycling and that <br />was from ACE, who is the current provider. The rates proposed increased from $1.37/month to <br />$1.56/month/household for 1998, $1.66/month/household for 1999, and $I.78/month/household <br />for the year 2000. The proposal also included an option for the pick-up of clothes/textiles which <br />would increase the cost by six cents per household per month. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to authorize the <br />Mayor and Acting City Administrator to enter into and sign the three-year Curbside Recycling <br />Contract with ACE Solid Waste, Inc., with the contingency that staff provide promotional <br />information relating to the clothing/textile option and that it be brought back to Council for <br />review. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Haas Steffen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance to Vacate Drainage and Utility Easement; Case of Cindy <br />Lofton <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that Council introduced an ordinance to vacate a portion of <br />the drainage and utility easement at 14301 Waco Street NW. There was an extra wide utility <br />easement dedicated on this parcel to facilitate a storm sewer pipe installation that ended up being <br />installed further north in the River's Bend plat. The Lofton's want to add a stall to their attached <br />garage and they cannot meet setback requirements unless the excess utility easement is vacated. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Ordinance #97-17 to vacate a portion of the drainage and utility easement on Lot 45, Block 6, <br />River's Bend. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Deputy City Clerk. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beahen - aye <br />Councilmember Zimmerman - aye <br />Councilmember Beyer - aye <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen - aye <br />Mayor Gamec - aye <br /> <br />Motion carded. <br /> <br />City Council/November 25, 1997 <br /> Page 9 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
