1997. The Road and Bridge Committee reviewed the model ordinance provided by the <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and recommended a few modifications. They asked that <br />the City Attorney review it and that it be brought back to Council on December 9, 1997, for <br />introduction consideration. <br /> <br />6) Report on Swimming Pool Costs <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that there is no action necessary on this issue. The Road and <br />Bridge Committee received some project information relating to swimming pools and <br />recreational facilities and it appears the cost is about $2 million dollars for an outdoor pool alone. <br /> <br />Case #5: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that the Finance Committee met earlier this evening and discussed <br />four issues. <br /> <br />1) Authorize Matching Funding for the Anoka County Central Records Project <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to authorize a <br />contribution of $225 toward the matching funds for the study being done for the Anoka County <br />Central Records Project and that these funds are to be allocated from the professional services <br />line in the data processing budget for 1997. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Haas Steffen and <br />Zimmerman. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Authorize Entering into Joint Powers Agreement between Local Unit and Anoka <br />County for Assessment <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart explained that cost-wise, contracting with Anoka County for assessing is <br />the only alternative. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to authorize the <br />Mayor and Acting City Administrator to enter into and sign the Joint Powers Agreement between <br />Local Unit and Anoka County for Assessment contingent upon City Attorney review. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Haas Steffen and <br />Zimmerman.
