Case #23: Report from Road and Bridge Committee City Engineer Jankowski stated that the Road and Bridge Committee met earlier this evening and discuss the following: 1) Discussion of Policy for Processing Traffic Calming Requests Staff prepared and presented a draft policy for processing traffic calming requests. The Committee was able to review about the first half of it. There was no modifications suggested to the procedure. Following review by the Road and Bridge Committee, the findings of staff and the Committee should be placed on the Consent Agenda for Council at the following meeting before the request would take effect. This provides the opportunity for the City Council to intervene if they choose. No Council action is necessary. MAYOR/COUNCIL INPUT 1) Northland Security Bank Mr. Schroeder announced the open house for the Northland Security Bank - Thursday, October 10 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 2) North Metro Mayors Association Meeting Mr. Schroeder announced that that quarterly board meeting for the NMMA will be held on October 16 at Nicklows in Crystal, between 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. 3 ) Automated EDM Mr. Schroeder announced the open house scheduled for Automated EDM on October 18, from noon to 7:00 p.m. This is a new business in Ramsey located at the comer of McKinley and Unity. 4) Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce Meeting Mr. Schroeder announced that the annual meeting for the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce is schedule from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on October 25. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Peterson, and Zimmerman.
