OPERATIONS ~ continued Overall, the Anoka County Department of Parks and Recreation operates under a $3.5 mi/lion dollar budget with a permanent staffof forty-two. The budget is growing at about a four to six percent per year. To better serve park users, Anoka County Department of Parks and Recreation is conducting customer surveys, developing a long range maintenance program, undertaking a "2020 Vision" to plan for a long range park system, and creating a comprehensive marketing and advertising strategy for its park system. 8. Staff responded that the regional park would have a more natural swimming pond like Hennepin County Parks. They were concerned that the resident who has a life estate and gave much of the land to the park department be kept aware of the county's plans. 31
