I
I
!
I
I
I
I
I
i
I
i
I
I
!
I
I
I
I
I

Pending

2/4/97

Monthly Status Report

The Planning Commission recommended the following amend-
ments to the proposed towers/antennas ordinance: Change the
radius reference in Section 9.15.05(a) to one-half mile. Add item
(5) to Section 9.15.05(a) to state that if the existing tower is not'
suited to have a second user and rebuilding the structure may be
more expensive than building a home tower, then a new tower
would be allowed. Remove the language "radio frequency (RF)"
from Section 9.15.07(b). Add the language "unless of monopole
design" to Section 9.15.07(c). Amend Section 9.15.09(a) to state
that the tower height limit in a commercial district is 165 feet.
Change the time limit in Section 9.15.13(b) for the removal of
unused portions of towers to 12 months. Add item (b) to Section
9.15.14 that would allow replacement of existing light standards to
accommodate antennas through a building permit and administrative
review. Add item (a) to Section 9.15.19 to exempt radio
frequencies from local electrical standards as they must comply with
federal regulations. Prepare this proposed ordinance for a public
hearing.
