4) Annual Contract Renewal for Civil Defense Siren Maintenance Finance Officer Hart informed Council that Doradus Corporation is the only company in the area that can do the maintenance and repair of our storm sirens. Their increase in price impacts the 1996 budget. Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to authorize staff to enter into a contract with Doradus Corporation for the maintenance and repair of our civil defense sirens at a contract price of $7,548 per year with a 60-day cancellation clause. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Peterson and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. 5) Amendments to the 1996 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges Ms. Hart explained that, due to lack of th'ne, this case was tabled at the Finance Committee level; however, it has been placed at the end of the Council agenda for discussion. 6) General Fund Interim Financial Report as of October 31, 1995 Actual Compared to Budget Ms. Hart stated that this case was also tabled due to lack of time. 7) Finance Update Due to lack of time, the Finance Committee did not discuss this case either. Case #i1: Amendments to the 1996 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges Finance Officer Hart explained some of the increases slated for the t996 schedule of rates, fees and charges. Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt Resolution g95-11-264 approving the amendments to the I996 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beahen, Beyer and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. MAYOR/COUNCIL INPUT 1) Landfill Gas Agreement . Waste Management City Administrator Schroeder disseminated a packet of correspondence from and to Waste Management of Minnesota pertaining to the Landfill Gas Agreement. The understanding is that Waste Management is terminating the marketing of gas. The City has put them on notice that we understand what they are doing but that we want the opportunity to review any changes. Consensus of the Council was that Mr. Goodrich should send a letter stating that the City acknowledges that the agreement has been terminated. City Council/November 28, 1995 Page 12 of 13 I I I I !
