PROPOSED ORDINANCE g96- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE <br />ZONING A~ND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE <br />OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.02 <br />SECTION 9.11 "PERFORMANCE STANDARDS", <br />"OFF STREET PARKING" OF CHAPTER 9 OF <br />RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />"DEFINITIONS" AND <br />SUBSECTION 9.11.10 <br />THE CITY CODE OF <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Section 9.11.10 (Off Street Parking) is hereby amended to include the following language: <br /> <br />In any Residential District, inside parking/storage of licensed and/or unlicensed <br />motor vehicles and equipment, commemial or private, shall be permitted. <br /> <br />In any Residential District, no outside parking/storage of any motor vehicle or <br />equipment shall be permitted, EXCEPT as follows: <br /> <br />Currently licensed and operable motor vehicles, and one unlicensed and <br />operable motor vehicle, the primary purpose of which is for private <br />transportation or recreational use may be stored outside provided they are <br />parked on a prepared surface that consists of either bituminous pavement, <br />concrete, con bit or prepared gravel or another equivalent surface material <br />that has received the prior approval of the City Administrator or his/her <br />designee. <br /> <br />bo <br /> <br />Equipment, the primary purpose of which is for private use transportation <br />use or personal/recreational use, may be parked/stored outside. <br /> <br />Commercial use motor vehicles and equipment may be parked/stored <br />outside for short-term periods when rendering a service such as loading or <br />unloading or on a murine or regular basis for long terms under the <br />following conditions: <br /> <br />The vehicles and/or equipment shall be screened to a degree of 75% <br />opacity, as determined by the City Administrator or his/her <br />designee, from adjacent parcels, public property or rights of way. <br /> <br />The vehicles and/or equipment shall be parked/stored only on the <br />side yard or rear yard of the subject property and said items shall be <br />parked/stored on a prepared surface that consists of either <br />bituminous pavement, concrete, con bit or prepared gravel or <br />another equivalent surface material that has received the prior <br />approval of the City Administrator or his/her designee. <br /> <br /> <br />
