PROPOSED ORDINANCE g96- CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING A~ND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.02 SECTION 9.11 "PERFORMANCE STANDARDS", "OFF STREET PARKING" OF CHAPTER 9 OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. "DEFINITIONS" AND SUBSECTION 9.11.10 THE CITY CODE OF The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT Section 9.11.10 (Off Street Parking) is hereby amended to include the following language: In any Residential District, inside parking/storage of licensed and/or unlicensed motor vehicles and equipment, commemial or private, shall be permitted. In any Residential District, no outside parking/storage of any motor vehicle or equipment shall be permitted, EXCEPT as follows: Currently licensed and operable motor vehicles, and one unlicensed and operable motor vehicle, the primary purpose of which is for private transportation or recreational use may be stored outside provided they are parked on a prepared surface that consists of either bituminous pavement, concrete, con bit or prepared gravel or another equivalent surface material that has received the prior approval of the City Administrator or his/her designee. bo Equipment, the primary purpose of which is for private use transportation use or personal/recreational use, may be parked/stored outside. Commercial use motor vehicles and equipment may be parked/stored outside for short-term periods when rendering a service such as loading or unloading or on a murine or regular basis for long terms under the following conditions: The vehicles and/or equipment shall be screened to a degree of 75% opacity, as determined by the City Administrator or his/her designee, from adjacent parcels, public property or rights of way. The vehicles and/or equipment shall be parked/stored only on the side yard or rear yard of the subject property and said items shall be parked/stored on a prepared surface that consists of either bituminous pavement, concrete, con bit or prepared gravel or another equivalent surface material that has received the prior approval of the City Administrator or his/her designee.
