introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION g96-02- "~_~_% <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING USE OF UNALLOCATED 1995 <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County is responsible for the allocation and timely expenditure of <br />Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from <br />Anoka County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 25, 1995, the City of Ramsey received notification of $4,009.00 <br />in unalloca~zl 1995 CDBG funds; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 26, 1996, the City of Ramsey received notification of a 1996 <br />CDBG allocation in the amount of $34,772.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on January 23, 1996, the Ramsey City Council conducted a public hearing <br />regarding the use of unallocated I995 CDBG funds and the 1996 CDBG allocation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on February 8, 1996, a subcommittee of the City Council met to review the <br />applications for funding; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on February I3, I996, the City Council subcommittee made a <br />recommendation to City Council regarding allocation of 1995 and 1996 CDBG <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey hereby applies to Anoka County for unallocated 1995 Community <br /> <br />Development Block Grant funds to be used as follows: <br /> <br /> roje t <br /> <br />ACCAP Home Rehabilitation of a Ramsey dwelling <br /> <br />Amount <br /> <br />$4,009.00 <br /> <br />2) That the City of Ramsey hereby declines to allocate funds for a CDBG project in 1996 and <br /> requests that the allocation be carried over for a possible project in 1997. <br /> <br />3) That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Anoka County CDBG Administrator. <br /> <br />The m.~i~oqr~or the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> ~ ~'O and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the folloxMiqg abstained: <br />and the followihg were absent: <br /> <br /> <br />
