It should be noted that residential land use adjacent to highways will usually result in complaints regarding tr~ffc noise. Traffic no~se at th~s location could exceed Noise Standards established by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. ~oka County policy regarding new developments adjacent to existing County Highways prohibits the expenditure of highway funds for noise mitigation measures. The City and/or the Developer should assess the noise situation and take any action deemed necessary to minimize associated impacts at this site from any traffic noise.
