I <br /> I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I' <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CASE <br /> <br />ADOPT ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 9 (ZONING AND <br />SUBDIVISION OF LAND) OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE REGARDING <br />STRUCTURE SETBACKS FROM THOROUGHFARES <br /> By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Planniag Commission initiated an amendment to the City Code to revise the required <br />stmcture setback from thoroughfares (basically County and State roads). A fair amount of <br />the varianc~ applied for are from the thoroughfare setback requirements. The ordinance <br />would establish a structure setback of 60 feet from right-of-way centerline plus the local <br />applicable satback <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />On February 27, 1996, the City Council introduced the ordinance to amend thoroughfare <br />setbacks. The ordinance, which is enclosed for your review, is eligible for adoption at this <br />time. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission and City Staff have recommended adoption of the ordinance <br /> <br />Council Action: <br />: / <br />Motion to: ~ <br />AdOPt Ordinance #96- to amend the structure setback from thoroughfares to 60 <br />feet from centerline plus the local applicablle setback. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: City Engineer <br /> <br />CC: 3/12/96 <br /> <br /> <br />
