City of Ramsey

15153 NOWTHEN BOULEVARD N.W., RAMSEY, MINNESOTA 55303

PHONE (612) 427-1410 FAX (612) 427-5543
TDD (612) 427-8591

March 13, 1996

Larry W. Dalien, Director
Property Records and Public Service
Property Records and Taxation Division
2100 Third Avenue North
Anoka, MN 55303

RE: Pending Tax Forfeit Land Sale

Dear Mr. Dalien:

The City of Ramsey has reviewed the properties that have been identified for sale for non-payment of property
taxes. Based upon this review, the City would have the following recommendations:

Parcel 1: This property, due to its unbuildable nature, should be sold to an abutting property owner. This action
will prevent the purchase of the lot for the purpose of constructing a new home. The lot does not have any frontage
on a public roadway which prevents the ability to access the property without crossing private property. The City
has notified the abutting property owners of the pending sale.

Parcel 2: At this time the City would like to acquire this parcel as drainage and open space. The lot is comprised
by a majority (2/3) of area of wetlands. This provides for certain difficulties in the future development of the site.
The City would use the site for wetland mitigation. In addition, the City may be able to develop a passive use open
space on the site.

Parcel 3: The City would, again as suggested for Parcel 1, recommend the sale of this property to the owner of the
parcel identified as PIN 34-32-25-42-0008. This would allow for that property to have the required frontage on a
public street. The City has notified the owner of that property of the pending sale and its possible effects on their
property.

Thank you for notifijing the City of these pending land sales. Should you require any additional information, please
contact me at 427-1410.

Sincerely,

CITY OF RAMSEY

James D.
