1 CASE # PC 2,
I REVIEW AND ADOPT THE 1997 BUDGET CALENDAR
By: Jessie L. Hart, Finance Officer
' Background:
The Ramsey City Charter specifically states that a budget calendar shall be established annually
' by resolution.
The attached cali=dar is structured a bit different than last year. As you can see, there are several
areas where work has already begun, newly added items, and other areas where the timing has
been changed. These changes were necessary to facilitate departmental requirements and how
the budget process is being approached again this year.
All of the dates indicated for County and State activities are based on the time frames from 1995.
We have not received anything to indicate that the timing for the processes indicated will change
for 1996. If in the future we are notified of changes in dates for these processes, an amended
calendar will be submitted for approval.
1
151
I
Budget forwarded
department heads
The 1997 Calendar was to all and supervisors.
Committee Action:
Recommend to City Council adoption of Resolution #96- 03 -t \, Resolution Approving the City
1
of Ramsey's 1997 Budget Calendar.
M City
Reviewed By:
Administrator
Copies Distributed To:
City Engineer
Finance Officer
Public Works Supervisor
Parks/Utilities Supervisor
Zoning Administrator
Economic Development Coordinator
Building Official
'
Police Chief
Police Sergeant
Fire Chief
Assistant Fire Chief
Administrative Service Manager
Senior Accountant
FC: 3/26/96
1
151
I
