1 <br />IN <br />1 <br />March 22, 1995 <br />Trails Plan (Task 1.05) <br />The contract identified 16 hours to be spent on the Trails Plan. Because of the <br />' many revisions and refinements required by the Park and Recreation <br />Commission, work on this task exceeded the allotted time. There were seven <br />meetings with the Park and Recreation Commission and /or Park Department <br />' staff, accounting for 28 hours beyond the scope of the contract. <br />Prepare Draft Road System Plan (Task 1.04) <br />' There were 64 hours in the contract to prepare the draft Transportation Plan. <br />Because of the attention given to the Mississippi River bridge crossing, hours <br />billed to this element of the study exceeded the allotted time. There were <br />' unexpected meetings to prepare for and attend with the Economic Development <br />Commission and there were joint meetings between the Planning and Zoning <br />1 ,c,q <br />B R w INC. <br />Ms. Sylvia Frolik, City Planner <br />City of Ramsey <br />15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW <br />' <br />Ramsey, MN 55303 -6197 <br />Planning <br />Dear Sylvia, <br />Transportation <br />' Engineering <br />As you are aware, the course of preparing the transportation element of the <br />Urban Design <br />Ramsey Comprehensive Plan Update has not been as smooth as anticipated. In fact, <br />approximately 99 hours have been spent by Bill Smith on the project beyond the <br />Thresher Square <br />scope of our original agreement. As itemized below, this additional work <br />700 Third street so. <br />involved: (1) extra meetings with the Planning and Zoning Commission and <br />Minneapolis, <br />tconomic Development Commission related to the location of the proposed <br />' MN 55415 <br />Mississippi River bridge and (2) extra meetings with the Parks and Recreation <br />612/370 -0700 <br />Commission and City staff to revise and refine the Trails Plan. <br />Fax 612/370 -1378 <br />As the end of the study approaches, it is our concern that adequate resources be <br />' <br />Denver <br />available to complete the work to your satisfaction. <br />Milwaukee <br />Minneapolis <br />The following is a description of the activities and corresponding hours that <br />Orlando <br />exceed the scope of the contract. <br />Phoenix <br />Portland <br />San Diego <br />Review Previous Plans (Task 1.01) <br />Seattle <br />Sixteen hours were allotted to the review of previous plans. However, thirty -one <br />hours were billed to this task, accounting for 15 hours beyond the cope of the <br />' <br />contract.
