PLAN: Make sure your vehicle is equipped with booster cables, road flares, a <br />shovel, snowmobile suit, blankets, mittens, warm cap and boots, windshield scraper, and <br />a tow rope. PLUS, equip your vehicle with a "survival kit" including ...... <br /> <br />*flashlight <br />*fa'st aid kit <br />*high energy snacks <br />*bright antenna cloth to signal for help <br /> <br />2. PREPARE YOUR VEHICLE: Test your anti-freeze, battery, brakes, exhaust, <br />and lights. N~ver travel with less than a half tank of gas. <br /> <br />3. PAY AT~YENTION TO WEATHER FORECASTS: Listen to road reports and <br />storm warnings. Trust them. They are meant for you. <br /> <br />4. REVEAL YOUR PLANS: Tell someone where you are going and the route you <br />are taking, especially if the roads are in poor driving condition. Report your safe arrival. <br /> <br />5. CRUISI~ CONTROL: Never use it when the roads are slippery.
