Chairperson Cook voiced that this would be a transportational trail and probably would not be a <br />place where young children would be crossing. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johns and seconded by Commissioner LaMere to recommend City <br />Council authorize construction of an eight foot biuminous path across from Tungsten Street, east <br />of the plat's boundary, with approporiate landscaping concurrent with the McKinley Street <br />extension, and, to recommend City Council require park dedication at the rate in effect when <br />individual development agreements are entered into. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Cook, Commissioners Asfahl, Droegemueller, Johns, <br />LaMere, Ostrum and Skinner. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: RECOMMEND PARK DEDICATION FOR FERRUM ADDITION <br /> <br />The City is in the process of platting an approximate six acre parcel west of Sunfish Lake <br />Boulevard and north of the railroad tracks. It is believed that there are no park, trail, or tree <br />conservation issues relating to this parcel. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ostmm and seconded by Commissioner Asfahl to recommend that <br />City Council require $1,796.52 in park dedication be deposited in the Marble Recreation Distrcit <br />at the time of the lot(s) development. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Cook, Commissioners Asfahl, Droegemueller, Johns, <br />LaMere, Ostmm and Skinner. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Commissioner Skinner inquired whether we've heard anything from the Minnesota Sports <br />Federation to which Mr. Boos replied that a thank you letter had been sent, but no reply has been <br />received to date. <br /> <br />Chairperson Cook asked about the lighting at Park Center. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos indicated that the bulbs for the track lighting at Park Center cost $28 each, and that he <br />would like to have them changed to flourescent lights.
