Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #96-06-__ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS <br />THROUGH #96-15 (1996 <br />SEALCOATING) <br /> <br />BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br /> #96-01 THROUGH P96-05 AND #96-07 <br /> STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolutions #96-04-080 through g96-04-093 were adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council on April 23, 1996, authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the <br />above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolutions g96-05-101 through g96-05-114 Were adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council on May 14, 1996, approving the plans and specifications and authorizing the <br />advertisement for bids for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1996 Street Maintenance <br />Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on June 7, 1996; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br /> contract with in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 1996 Street <br /> Maintenance Program - Sealcoating (Improvement Projects #96-01 through #96-05 and <br /> g96-07 through #96-15) in the amount of <br /> <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br /> the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br /> next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember __ <br />__ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: .. <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 11th day of June, I996. <br /> <br /> <br />
