I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, May 7, 1996 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a request to rezone certain property from B-1 Business to R-1 Rural Residential; case of <br />Ann Moroz. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Commissioner Ben Deemer (Acting Chairperson) <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Sharon Jensen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Members Absent: Chairperson David Bawden <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Deemer called the public hearing to order at 7:51 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik reported that Ann Moroz, fee title owner of Lots 6 and 7, Block 1, <br />Golden Eagle Estates, is applying to rezone said property from B-1 Business to R-1 Rural <br />Residential. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Dorothy Ganter, realtor representing the applicant, stated that there is no interest in the property for <br />business development, however, she does have an agreement to build a residential home on one of <br />the lots if the rezoning is approved. Ms. Ganter concluded she perceives the best use for the <br />property is residential since the surrounding area is residential and there is no interest for business <br />in the area. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Thorud to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners Holland, Thorud, Jensen, <br />LaDue, and Terry. Voting No: None.
