Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-04- RESOLUTION~ APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g94-16 SUNWOOD DRIVE NW) WHERE~S, pursuant to a motion passed by the Rarnsey City Council on October 26, 1993, the Consul~ng Engineer, Mr. Peter R. Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. has prepared Plans argt Specifications for Improvement Project g94-16 Sunwood Drive NW (street and bridge) and has presented such Plans and Specifications to the Council for approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ~ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper (Anoka COunty Union) and the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making ot' such improvement under such approved Plans and Specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids ~ be received by the City Administrator until 10:30 a.m. on May 8, 1996, at which tim& they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by!the City Adminisu'ator and City Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered, by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on May 14, 1996, in the Council Chambers; Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be giv;en an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be COl~sidered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash de.sit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five p~cent (5%) of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' and the following Voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following ,were absent: whereupon said re~3olution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of April, 1996.
