I <br />,! <br /> <br />Motion by Coun¢ilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt Resolution <br />#96-05-134 approving the negotiated 1997-1997 labor agreement between the City and the <br />American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 14 Local 2454. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Peterson and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />1) Consider Budget Amendment for the Purchase of One Mobile Radio <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart reported that all the vehicles used by both streets and parks crews have mobile <br />radios with the exception of one. <br /> <br />Motion by Coun¢ilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt Resolution <br />#96-05-135 authorizing a budget amendment allocating $525 from the Council Contingency for the <br />purchase of one mobile radio. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardinl Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Peterson and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />2) Review Stipends Paid to Various Board and Commission Members <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart reported that the Finance Committee reviewed stipends paid to commission <br />members and were informed of those who did not receive a stipend. They recommended <br />increasing the stipends by $5 and to offer stipends to commission/board members currently not <br />receiving any. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution #96-05-136 increasing stipends to the Commissioners and Board Members and also <br />offering a stipend to those currently not receiving any, effective July 1, 1996 - <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Zimmerman, Beahen and <br />Beyer. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />3) Consider Policy for Donations of Property or Cash (Unsolicited and <br /> Solicited) <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that the Finance Committee reviewed a draft policy for donations of <br />property or cash. This would make certain that City Council is award of all donations. <br /> <br />Motion by CounCilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt the policy <br />for donations of property or cash - unsolicited and solicited. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes:' Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Beahen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />4) Report on 1996 Community Events <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart reported on the community events that have been held thus far and noted the <br />ones yet to be held.
