I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey PersOnnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, June 11, 1996, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15 i53 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 6:15 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Case 4/1: <br /> <br />End Probationary Period of Administrative Services Manager Linda <br />Waite Smith <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder reported that, based on a satisfactory, six-month appraisal of her <br />performance, he is recommending that Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith be <br />retained as a regular, full-time employee, effective June 18, 1996. He pointed out Ms. Waite <br />Smith's list of goals and noted that assuming the responsibility for supervising Administrative <br />Services staff will be done very soon. <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Waite Smith informed the Committee that the supervising of the <br />Administrative Services has been a joint effort. She has been involved with decision making along <br />with Finance Officer Jessie Hart. <br /> <br />Motion by Coun¢ilmember Beahen and seconded by Mayor Hardin to recommend approval of <br />ending the probationary period for Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith and <br />granting her the status of regular, full-time employee, effective June 18, 1996. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen and Beyer. Voting No: <br />None. <br /> <br />Case #2: Commission Appointment Process <br /> <br />Adminisu-ative Services Manager Waite Smith stated that last April she gave the Personnel <br />Committee her report on the Commission appointment process.
