PAUL WASECA Dear Mr. Jankowski: Bids were received a~d opened at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, June 28, 1996, for the above- referenced project. A total of eight bids were received. We have not worked with Volk Sewer & Water before, but it is my understanding that they have worked on several private projects within the City of Rarrmey. We spoke with Ms. Debra Volk of Volk Sewer & Water, who provided references for public improvement projects in the Cities of Woodbury, Coon Rapids, and Fridley. We have contacted these references and all have indicated that the Conuactor's work has met all specifications and was of good quality. Based on these references, we are prepared to recommend award of this project i:o Volk Sewer & Water, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder.
