Overall rating of satisfactory. High marks for <br />developing and overseeing special programs (snow patrol, cigarette sting, DARE house, <br />community policing); serving as the point position to fill in wherever staff needs him; <br />extending life of department vehicles through maintenance; assisting with planning of <br />new Police building; being an effective member of the senior management team; <br />knowledge of his field; and evaluating employees objectively. Major goals for the next <br />year are to increase computer competence of all PD staff and to integrate use of laptops <br />for patrol officers; to prepare the policy manual for future updating; and to obtain <br />supervisory training for officers who are likely to be promoted. <br /> <br /> Performance Appraisal Summary <br />for Mark Boos, Parks & Utilities Supervisor <br /> <br />Evaluated by !Steve Jankowski 7/25/96. Overall rating bordering on superior. High <br />marks for park maintenance; planning and development; effective use of seasonal <br />employees; operating and maintaining the water distribution system; facilitating the use <br />of volunteers for park projects; communication skills and preparation for meetings; <br />sound analysis in decision making; seeking ways to improve his performance and his <br />department's services; knowledge of his field; arranging training for his employees; <br />setting a good example; recognizing employee contributions. Opportunities for <br />improvement noted in working with others toward consensus and planning farther ahead <br />when work requires assistance from others. <br /> <br /> Performance Appraisal Summary <br />for David Gustafson, Police Sergeant <br /> <br />Evaluated by Mike Auspos 1/08/96. Overall rating bordering on superior. High marks <br />for effective scheduling of officers; supervising maintenance and replacement of <br />vehicles, equipment and physical plant; recommending procedures to increase efficiency; <br />communication skills; decision making; and dependability. It is also noted that "he <br />performs a th-role in that he is Sergeant, Patrol Officer, and Assistant Chief."
