Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-08 __ RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO VOLK SEWER & WATER, INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #96-17 (RETENTION POND, UTILITY, AND STREET I~MPROVEMENTS FOR MCKINLEY STREET EAST) WHEREAS, City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced Work by motion on January 23, 1996; and WHEREAS, on July 9, 1996, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #96-07-166 awarding the bid to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. for the retention pond, utility, and street improvements for McKinley Stredt East (Improvement Project #96-17); and WHEREA, S, City Engineer Steve Jankowsld has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. in the amount of $115,883.01. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ~NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the citY Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. for the retention pond, utility, and street improvements for McKinley Street East (Improvement Project #96,17) in the amount of $115,883.01. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes, the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the month of August, 1996. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember __ __ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following ware absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of August, 1996.
