The Planning Commission will have to make a determination on <br />the light fixtures, due to *he two inch vertical surface. Ms. Frolik explained that the plan needs to be <br />mOd/fled to identify handicapped parldng spaces, Anoka County/s recommending the elimination of the <br />access on County Road #116. <br /> <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski explained that the City is willing to compromise by having the access on <br />County R. oad #116 moved to the east, He explained that he had concerns regarding drainage. Mr. <br />Jankowski explained the drainage was directed southwest to northeast. Fie explained that furore land use <br />to the northeast w~l be townhomes. Mr. Jankowski recommerrled an easement and placing dra/nage pipe <br />through the property. <br /> <br />Chu'ck Tweet, representing Casey's General Store, l. nc.,'explained that the two access points were <br />imperative for safety purposea He explained that tanker trucks and delivery tracks would be coming and <br />going fi.om the s/to. Commissioner Thomd asked where the trucks will load and unload. Mr. Tweet <br />pointed out the northwest doors by the no parking area that is dedicated for loading. Mr. T .we. et pointed <br />out the handicapped areas labeled '~np' on the site plan. ,.. <br /> <br />Commissioner Bawden asked [fthere was any problem movkng the access to the east. Mr. ~l'weet replied <br />that there would be no problem moving the access to the east, and there were no problems with any other <br />conditions. He explained that he would work with City Staff on the drainage issues. Mr. Jankowsld <br />added that there is a 12 inch water main loop to the north and would like to install on the east property <br />line. He added th~ the City is willing to contribute towards the installation_ Mr. Tweet {~rplained that <br />C2sefs General Store, Inc. is easy to get along with and as things come up they are good about working <br />with the City. <br /> <br />Commissioner Yemen asked about the exterior finish.. Mr. Tweet distributed photos of a new building, <br />and explained that the new construction consists bfbfick fi'tints. <br /> <br />Comm~oner Thorud asked ifther'e wo~Id be four four-hose pumps. Mr. Tweet explained there would <br />be'eight pumps With 30 foot intervals between pumps. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer asked when they are planning to complete the project. Mr. Tweet stated they <br />planned on complefionin the I997 construction year. Mr. 2Rveet added that Casey's General Store, inc. <br />was a family oriented store with no adult products, no video rentals, and no video games. <br /> <br />CommEsioner Thdmd aaked if diesel sales were planned. Mr. Tweet stated that there would be gas sales <br />only. Commissioner Thomd. explained that the intent of kis question was that diesel sales bring in <br />oversized vekicles, Mr. Tweet explairied that the lot will be prepared w/th reinforced concrete. <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden asked if' the Planning Commkssion lad any problems with .the lighting issues, <br />Commissioner'Deemer explained that fids 5~hting includes a frosted white lens and the bulb was not <br />visible.
