It. <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR PROFESSIONAL AUDIT SERVICES <br /> CITY OF RA_MSEY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />STATEMENT OF INTENT <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey intends to hire a Certified Public Accounting fnrn for a minimum <br />three year period [fiscal years I996 - 1998] to audit the City's Comprehensive Annual <br />Financial Report in accordance with performance specifications described herein. <br />Further, the City plans to continue its efforts to comply with Government Finance <br />Officers Association Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting Program and <br />expects that this standard will be maintained in future years. <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY - GENERAL INFORMATION <br /> <br />A. City Operations <br /> <br />Ramsey is a Home Rule City under a City Charter originally adopted in <br />1984 with a Council/Administrator form of government. <br /> <br />The City provides a variety of municipal services consisting of a full-time <br />police department, a volunteer fire department, engineering services, street <br />and park maintenance, building inspections, planning and zoning, public <br />improvements and general administrative services. It also operates public <br />water and sewer utilities and well as street lighting and recycling services. <br /> <br />B. City Staff <br /> <br />The number of full-time equivalents [FTE's] by division for 1996 is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />General Government <br />Public Safety <br />Public Works <br />Parks and Recreation <br /> <br />I4.25 <br />17.00 <br />6.91 <br />6.50 <br /> <br />Total FTE's 44.66 <br /> <br />2. The Finance Department consists of 3.5 FTE's as follows: <br /> <br />Finance Officer <br />Senior Accountant <br />Accounting Clerk <br />Finance Clerk/Typist <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
