7) 1997 - 2002 Parks Capital Improvement Program <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that the Finance Committee reviewed the 1997-2002 Parks CIP and <br />recommended adoption of same. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt the <br />1997 - 2002 Parks Capital Improvements Program. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen and Zimmerman. Voting <br />No: Councilmember Beyer. Absent: Councilmember Peterson. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart reported that Steve Ostmm was present at the Finance Committee meeting to request a <br />joint workshop with the City Council. It was decided that the City Council would tour, with the <br />Park and Recreation Commission, the existing park projects and the projected ones. The tour <br />would take place at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, September 12, 1996. <br /> <br />8) Authorize Purchase of Phone System for Police Department Facility and <br /> City Hall <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart explained that the City will have to purchase a new phone system for the new <br />Police Department facility. Initially it was thought that a new phone system could be purchased <br />and linked to the existing system at City Halt. Because of age of our current system, this is not <br />possible. We received four quotes for the phone system and recommend purchasing the system <br />from Central Tele-Systems. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt Resolution <br />g96-08-211 authorizing a budget amendment for the purchase of phone system from Central Tele- <br />Systems. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen and Zimmerman. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberPeterson. <br /> <br />9) Review Proposed 1997 . 1998 General Fund Budgets and Tax Levy Impacts <br /> <br />Finance <br />pertains <br />brought <br /> <br />Officer Hart reported that the Finance Committee was presented with information as it <br />to a balanced budget with 0% increase in taxes as it relates to operations only. This is <br />before Council to find out what you are ~looking for. No action is necessary at this time. <br /> <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) City Administrator's Performance Ap[~raisal <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Waite Sm/th reminded the Council that she needs the <br />performance appraisals back soon for Mr. Schroeder's review. <br /> <br />2) Receptionist Position <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Waite Smith reported that the City's receptionist is resigning and <br />we will be advertising the position for two weeks.
