REPORTING-Following each emergency service response, a report will be <br />immediately prepared by the Embedded Systems, Inc. technician and forwarded to <br />the City describing the problem reported, the analysis of the problem and corrective <br />actions taken, if any. <br /> <br />1.3 MoNIToRING OF TEST REPORTS-Embedded Systems, Inc. shall monitor the test <br />reports o~t sirens covered by this agreement resulting from silent tests run by the City or <br />by the County in which the City is located on un.its described in Attachment 1: <br /> <br />1.3.1 FREQUENCY-Embedded Systems, Inc. will monitor silent test reports a <br />mfnimurn of once per week, generally on the day following the running of a silent <br />test. <br /> <br />1.3.2 ANALYSIS-Embedded Systems, Inc. will monitor these test reports for items <br />which i'epresent to Embedded Systems, Inc. known failure modes of the units and for <br />events Sot previously seen or explained. The appearance of such failure modes and <br />events j_n such silent test reports will be treated by Embedded Systems, Inc. as a call <br />for emq~rgency service under paragraph 1.2. The City and the County in which the <br />City is located are encouraged to continue to monitor the operation of each siren in <br />any manner currently used (including but not lim/ted to live observers of monthly <br />tests, arialysis of silent test results, etc.) and to report any suspected discrepancies to <br />Embedded Systems, Inc. These reports will also be treated as calls for emergency <br />service iunder paragraph 1.2. <br /> <br />1.3.3 REPORTING-Embedded Systems, Inc. will provide to the City a monthly <br />summary of all pertinent data gathered as a result of such tests. <br /> <br />2. HARDWARE AND HARDWAR~ FAF[ .U-tLES AND DEFECTS COVERED <br /> <br />2.1 HARDWARE COVERED-Embedded Systems, Inc. shall provide repair and/or <br />replacementifor the following components of the system: <br /> <br />2.1.1 CONTROL BOX-The box housing the controls for the receiver/decoder unit. <br /> <br />2.1.2 S]]LEN DECODER BOARD-The receiver/decoder board, including its integral <br />power supply. <br /> <br />2.1.3 BATTERY-The battery which is used to provide backup to the siren <br />receiver/decoder board and power to the radio. <br /> <br />2.1.4 RADIO-The two-way radio transceiver installed as part of the unit. <br /> <br /> <br />
