Andover, 5/IN 55304 <br /> (612)-757-6693 (612)-757-3696 <br /> The next scheduled battery replacement is: <br /> for un/ts in Anoka County - 1997 <br /> for un/ts in Hennepin County - 1997 <br /> 1.i.2 VISUAL INSPECTION - The unit will be visually inspected for damage or <br /> signs of deterioration. <br /> 1.1.3 PREVENTIVE ACTIONS - The receiver/decoder will be inspected and actions <br /> will be taken to assure the continued reliability of the receiver]decoder. Except as <br /> specifically provided herein Embedded Systems will not be responsible for providing <br /> preventive actions or service to the siren or to the electrical service to the unit. <br /> <br /> 1.1.4 FUNCTIONAL TEST - The urdt will be checked for proper operation. <br /> i. 1.5 INSPECTION REPORT - Following the inspection visit, Embedded Systems <br /> will prepare an inspection report of the un/t, noting condition of the receiver/decoder <br /> as well as other pertinent unit data. This report will be forwarded to the City <br /> immediately if the un_it is not then operable or if, in the reasonable opinion of the <br /> technician conducting such inspection, the unit wiI1, within the follow-ing 12 month <br /> per/od, become inoperable; otherwise, the report will be forwarded to the City within <br /> 45 days following such inspections. <br /> EMERGENCY SERVICE - Embedded Systems will provide emergency service to <br /> receiver/decoder un/ts on the following terms: <br /> <br /> 1.2.1 RESPONSE ~ - Embedded Systems will respond to a need for emergency <br /> service based either the results of a routine test analysis (see paragraph 1.3 below) or <br /> a request from the City stating the apparent fa/lure of a un_it. <br />During the storm season (March 15th through September 15th), a service call will be <br />made with_in 48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays) after the report by the City <br />of a problem. If emergency service of more than 10 un/ts at one t/me is required as a <br />result of 'Mhd, storm or fire damage will dedicate service personnel to Lrmpect and <br />repair the damaged units in a timely manner. <br />Outside of the storm season, the service call will be made within five (5) business <br />days of the' report by the City of a problem. <br />1.2.2 SERVICED PERFORM:ED-Services performed pursuant to this paragraph 1.2 <br />will consist of analysis of the apparent problem, repair or replacement of the parts <br />which appear to be failed, and retest of the unit. In the case of fa/lures to parts other <br />than those covered by this agreement (including, but not iLmited to, failure of the siren <br />itself or electrical serv/ce to the un/t), the City and/or its electrician will be notified as <br />specified by the City. <br /> <br />1.2.3 TI/'~LIN-ESS OF REPAI2~-Embedded Systems, Inc. will use its best efforts <br />to complete repaLrs on the first service call.
