f~CASE #: <br /> <br />CONSIDER REAPPOINTMENTS TO CITY COMMISSIONS <br /> By: Linda Waite Smith, Administrative Services Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In August of this year, the City Council adopted a policy for appointing and reappointing <br />members of city commissions. The policy gives commissioners whose terms are soon to expire <br />an opportunity tO request reappointment by the City Council. If a commissioner declines to seek <br />reappointment ot if the Council declines to reappoint, the resulting vacancies will be advertised <br />to the public. In October, questionnaires and notices of impending term expirations were sent to <br />the following: <br /> <br />Ploarfing Commission (terms expire 12/31/96~ v// <br />David Bawden 17.5' ¢· ";.
