CITY OF RAMSEY <br />INTERNAL JoB LISTING <br />Temporary Position <br /> <br />POSITION: POLICE CORPORAL <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT: POLICE <br /> <br />POSITION TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: POLICE SERGEANT <br /> <br />PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Performs all duties of a regular Patrol <br />Officer, and gives work direction to other patrol officers per the Chief of Police or Police <br />Sergeant. <br /> <br />SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: In addition to responsibilities of a regular <br />Patrol Officer, the Corporal has the following responsibilities: <br /> <br />Conducts inspections and maintains security of the Police evidence and property <br />rooms. <br /> <br />B) <br /> <br />Oversees training for which officers will receive credit hours from the Minnesota <br />Board of Police Officers Standards and Training. <br /> <br />C) Develops and maintains a department duty schedule. <br /> <br />D) Oversees maintenance and repair of Police vehicles. <br /> <br />POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Must be a full-time employee in good standing with <br />the Ramsey Police Department for a minimum of five years. <br /> <br />SELECTION PROCESS: Selection will be made by the Police Chief on the basis of a <br />combined assessment of work experience, work record, and results of a structured <br />interview with the Police Chief, Police Sergeant and Administrative Services Manager. <br /> <br />TEMPORARY POSITION: <br />extended. <br /> <br />Minimum of eight weeks.
