their mid point. Mr. Schroeder's mid point is about $70,000. She talked about the fact that there would be a performance appraisal at least once a year also. Councitmember Beahen inquired how goals would be developed. Mayor Hardin responded that we would have io sit down and do that. Ms. Waite Smith offered to "draw up an action plan". City Administrator Schroeder stated that with regard to goals, he was preparing them, he could do it rather quickly. He would need to figure out a way to work with that. Councilmember Beahen suggested that maybe Councilmember Beyer could give input as well as the rest of City Council. Ms. Waite Smith asked if the Committee wanted these back for discussion at a Finance Committee meeting. The Committee directed that staff come back with developed goals for the next appraisal period by the next Finance Committee meeting. Mayor Hardin suggested that maybe the contract and everything should be dealt with at the Finance Committee meeting and that maybe the City Attorney should review it as well: COMMITTEE INPUT 1) Jeff Arneson City Administrator Schroeder reported that Patrol Officer Jeff Arneson had a heart attack on Saturday and will be out of work for awhile. 2) Receptionist Administrator Services Manager Waite Smith stated that the receptionist position is being advertised for a period of two weeks which ends this Friday. We have sent out 94 applications so far. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Mayor Hardin to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
