MN. 55303 <br /> (612) 427-1411 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF <br /> September 19 1996 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - 1 <br /> <br />Chair Gerald Cotten called the QCTV-33 Board of Directors meeting to <br />order at 5:47 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of Anoka City Hall <br /> <br />Directors present were Ken Peterson, Vicki Volk, Don Jacobson, JoAnn <br />Brown, and Mark Nagel, Bruce Johnson, Ryan Schroeder, and Gerald <br />Cotten. <br /> <br />Others present included Terry O'Cormell, Commission staff; and Tom <br />Creighton, Bernick & Lifson, legal counsel <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA - 2 <br /> <br />2.1 APPROVED THE AUGUST 19 1996, MEETING MINUTES THE <br />2.2 AUTHORIZED PAYMENT OF THE BILLS AS PRESENTED: <br /> QCCCC, $5,238.66;-AND BERKELEY ADMINISTRATORS, <br /> $172.00. <br />2.3 ACCEPTED THE AUGUST FINANCIAL REPORT AS <br /> PRESENTED SHOWING AN OPERATING FUND BALANCE <br /> OF $51,309.79 AND THE 4M FUND ENDING BALANCE FOR <br /> JULY 1996, OF $,54,955.40. <br />Motion way made by Ken Peterson, seconded by Donald Jacobson TO <br />ACCEPT THE CONSENT AGENDA AS PRESENTED. <br /> <br /> 8 ayes - 0 nays. Motion carried. <br />NEW BUSINESS - 3 <br /> <br />3.1 <br /> <br />PROGRAMMING REPORTS <br /> <br />COMMUNITY AFFAIRS PROGRAMMING <br /> <br />O'Connelt stated that the Board of Directors needed to be aware that it <br />is election time. QCTV in cooperation with the League of Women <br />Voters will be hosting debates and candidate profiles for any open race <br />in the Quad Cities viewing area. An estimated 21 debates and profiles <br />will be produced during the first two weeks of October. <br /> <br /> <br />
