Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case 812: Introduction Of Proposed Ordinance To Amend City Charter: <br /> <br />Council noted the introduction of the proposed ordinance to amend the Chapter 3 <br />of the City !Charter; a amendment which would delete the required reading of <br />resolutions iand ordinances prior to adoption. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Heitman and seconded by Councilmamber Cox to set a public <br />hearing date of June 25, 1985, 7:30 p.m., regarding the proposed charter <br />amendment; ~urther to direct that City Staff publish public hearing <br />notif icatior~ accordingly. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, COx, <br />Reimann and Bchlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case 813: Administrative Repg~9.; <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle informed Council that the changeover in Finance Department <br />personnel co~es at a busy t/me, i.e., 1985 budget adjustments, preparation of <br />1986 operational budget, long term financial plan and special assessments. <br />Financial items wLll have to be addressed on a priority basis and hopefully <br />there will b~ a new finance person on board by August 15. <br /> <br />Case #14: S~atus Of Cemetery_ Con~nittee.;. <br /> <br />Councilme~be~ Cox stated that the Cemetery Committee has met four times and <br />some of the ~ecommendations being discussed with respect to present cemtery <br />sites in RamSe. y are: <br /> <br />1. No more burials at the cemtery located adjacent to the ai~ort. <br /> <br />Research titles of neighboring properties at Trott Brook to determine <br />ifthere is an opportunity to expand the Trott Brook cemetery; <br />proc~ frc~ sale of cemetery lots would be deposited in a fund to be <br />used! for maintenance of the present site and expansion of it. <br /> <br />3. Or if Council desires, proceed to select a new cemetery site. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />authorizing t~e Cemetery Con~nittee to research a new cemetery site and to <br />provide City ~ouncil with information regarding the cost and feasibility of a <br />city c~ned and maintained cemetery. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, COx, <br />Reimann and SOhlueter.
