Over the past several years this celebration of Minnesota's Manufacturers has nearly doubled in size each year. Three years ago, communities acknowledged g0 manufacturers. Two years ago, the number was 150. Last year, 300 manufacturers in Minnesota were acknowledged by luncheons, plant tours, coffee breaks and other activities. This year I hope to double again the number of manufacturers who have received certificates of recognition. The total number of manufacturers in Minnesota exceeds 8,000. But it is up to you, the local developer to take advantage of this week and let your local employers know how much you value their contributions. October ! t g Take a minute to plan some events, examples are given in this packet. Them don't have to be difficult. But the recognition will stay with them all year in the form ora Governor's Certificate of Recognkion for their contributions to Minnesota. These official documents are very appreciated by the recipients and you can get one for each of the manufacturers in your local area. Just fill out the activity report sheet and fax it back to Minnesota Technology so that your community events get on the calendar. The events on the calendar are the ones that are reported to statewJde media and the ones for which Governor's Certificates are created. Don't miss this opportuni.tv.
