W.E.B. Site for the City of Ramsey (Home Page) <br />By: James D. Gromberg, Economic Development Coordinator <br /> <br />CASE #3 <br /> <br />Background: <br />With the recent changes in the availability of information and the access to that information, a <br />discussion has deq, eloped as to the viability of the City of Ramsey developing a home page on <br />the internet. The development of this home page would further facilitate the promotion of the <br />City's current "I~stant Equity" program and general information about the City. If the <br />Commission decides that the development of a home page is a good idea, then we will need to <br />decide on the type of information that will be included on the site. <br /> <br />It would be my assumption that the site would not be interactive as this would require additional <br />development cost~ and the development of ready access from a City of Ramsey computer <br />terminal. The gen~eral idea would be to provide the phone numbers and general information as to <br />the City and its programs. This information could be changed on an as needed basis from any <br />site that has the correct software. An option for the development of the site would be to use the <br />one of the MBA cburses at St. Cloud State University to develop the page as a project, resulting <br />in the City getting;it developed at no cost. <br /> <br />Attached is some information that has been received as to the costs and types of information that <br />the home page shquld include.
