The park will be important as a community park, athletic complex, and for
neighborhood use. The $220,000 projected from the Park Trust fund will be enough for Phase I
development of the park. The sum is expected to be derived from the residential development of
the property north of I53rd Avenue. Readers of this text will note that 1998 also provides an
opportunity for Landfill Trust fund dollars given community priority.

Anoka Electric Cooperative Energy Park is projected as a 1997 improvement. The park
could be developed using TIF funds and contributions from local businesses. The $25,000
estimate in the "other" category is projected from funds derived from AEC's sale of commercial
lots in their subdivision or similar sources. Proposed are picnic areas and paths for workers'
breakfime activities around this commercial/industrial area. 'As the County Road #116 corridor
becomes a more frequent work site destination and non-vehicular travel route, a rest area in this
area is also of value.

Concurrent with commercial development and street improvements could be sidewalk and/or
boulevard trees along the McKinley street extension. The proposed $15,000 MSA
amount could be supplemented with TIF funds if they are available at the time.

Projec. t. - Marble

Alpine Park Development

AEC Energy Park

McKinley Street Boulevard

Year Funding
I997 $ 220,000 - Park Trust
1997 $ 25,000- TIF
1997 $ 15,000 - TIF

$ 260,000
