NoIcs

Adequate topsoil dramatically rectuc:s the need for irrigation.

There am dozens of volunteer red cedar (juniper~ virginiana) located in the proposed field
and parking areas. These are very hardy and amenable to mecharfical transplantation.

The availability of methane may provide for a innovative and economical park security
lighting s~,stem. State or federal funding ma>, be available.

A suitabl~ fence should be placed along the entire south side of the recreation area. A 42'
chainlink~or similar ma3' be prudent along 153rd Avenue to direct visitors to crossing
points and to minimize conflicts. Any fence should provide for wildl/fe movement.

Directly south of the pond is the most significant bittersweet "colony" (celasrrus xcandenx)
in RarnseY and perhaps Anoka Counu,. "Fnis small area could be restr/cted to park visitors,
providing a nesting habitat and a lozation for displaced wildlife to harbor.
