PROPOSED ORDINANCE g96- CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.02 "DEFINITIONS" AND SECTION 9.11 "PERFORMANCE STANDARDS", SUBSECTION 9.11.10 "OFF STREET PARKING" OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. The City of Ram~y ordains: SECTION I. AMENDMENT Section 9.11.I0 (Off Street Parking) is hereby amended to include the following language: In any Residential District, inside parking/storage of licensed and/or unlicensed motor vehicles and equipment, commercial or private, shall be permitted. In any Residential District, no outside parking/storage of any motor vehicle or equipment shall be permitted, EXCEPT as follows: Ctwrently licensed motor vehicles and one unlicensed motor vehicle, the prim,fy purpose of which is for private transportation or recrational use may be stored outside provided they arc parked on a surfaee that consists of either bituminous pavement, concrete, con bit or prepared gravel or another equivalent surface material that has received the prior approval of the City Administrator or his/her designee. Equipment, the primary purpose of which is for private use transportation use or personal/recreational use, may be parked/stored outside. Commercial usc motor vehicles and equipment may be. parked/stored outside for short-term periods when rendering a service such as loading or unloading or on a murine or regular basis for long terms under thc following conditions: The vehicles and/or equipment shall be screened to a degree of 75% opacity, as determined by the City Administrator or his/her designee, from adjacent parcels, public property or rights of way. The vehicles and/or equipment shall be parked/stored only on the side yard or rear yard of the subject property and said items shall be parked/stored only on a bituminous paved, concrete, con bit or prepared gravel or another equivalent surface material that has received the prior approval of the City Administrator or his/her designee.
